About

About The Magic Numbers
The Magic Numbers are a four-piece band who met no little fame and major musical acclaim 2005, having already attracted a cult following in London all through 2004.
The band are formed of a brother and sister and... a brother and sister. Romeo's vocal talents and melodic guitar strums over sister Michelle's bass, while Angela's vocals and percussion add to brother Sean on drums. It's a recipe like no other that produces a sound like no other.
They spent a long time supporting household names throughout the UK, interspersed with London gigs of their own whilst they put together their first album.
In 2004 they signed up to label Heavenly, an EMI subsidiary that's also host to, inter alia, Doves, Ed Harcourt, 22-20's and Beth Orton. Through Heavenly they released a limited edition 7" vinyl single in 2004, their eponymous debut album in June 2005 and a string of singles that were met with radio appreciation across the board. Plans are already afoot for the second album, pencilled in for a release in Autumn 2006.
Right now, the world is their oyster. We simply sit back, listen and enjoy the ride.

About This Website
I set up this site in late 2004 when frustration at not being able to find a massive amount about the band grew, despite continual positive press and wild, but limited, fan following. In the then absence of a content-based official site (which has since developed into a more dynamic site) I'd attempted to gather together all that I can find relating to the band, song lyrics, photos, live dates and any other details published to the web to help those in a similar state.
There are still some gaps to be filled in - if you spot something that's not right or that's been omitted, please drop me an email and I shall attempt to correct as swiftly as possible. Likewise, any additions or suggestions are very welcome.
In case you were wondering about the name... well it follows one of, what I feel is, their best songs, and certainly a live favourite.
